At the many online stock photo site, the ideas are endless.

2. Can any image be a Wall Pilot?

Computer screen resolution and printer resolutions can vary.

Computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to measure clarity of text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print.

Certain characteristics of the print material may contribute to some variations in the appearance of your Wall Pilot compared to your computer screen.

3. Will my Custom Wall Pilot look just like it does on the computer screen (except larger and fully die cut)?

Very close. Computer screen resolution and printer resolutions are different. Computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to display text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print. However, we do process your images through our systems before printing to color match. Characteristics of the print material (matte, satin, gloss, etc.) will also affect the appearance of an image.

4. What should I keep in mind when shooting or selecting my photo?

The subject in your photo, at a minimum, should encompass 50% of the entire image. If the image does not meet this requirement the quality when enlarged will appear pixelated and blurry. You should also follow the guidelines set below for resolution requirements.

5. How should I configure my camera to get the best picture for my Wall Pilot?

We recommend using a camera that is at least 4MP (megapixels) or greater. The more megapixel's your camera has, the better the image.

Set your camera for the highest resolution. This is usually done under the "settings" of the menu section of your camera. If in doubt, you can always consult your manual. Be sure to use the highest possilbe setting, as it gives us more data to stretch your image into a Wall Pilot.

Try to avoid taking your photo using the "zoom" function. The closer you get to the subject without using zoom, the better. When you use the zoom feature, the image loses data.

We request a file size of 2048x1536 pixels. If you have some experience with cameras, you should know how to verify this. If not, don't worry about it. Your file size should be just fine if you've followed steps 1-3.

Do not change the resolution of your photo. Please send us the original file.

If possible, take your photo vertically and try not to cut off any part of the subject, like feet or arms.

6. What file formats do you accept?

Our designers can work with any of the following file formats:

• .jpg
• .tiff
• .psd
• RAW

***We require a minimum 300 dpi for any images that are to be reproduced larger than 48". All other images will require a minimum of 72dpi. Remember – the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image.

7. What if the image I would like to use is on film?

If you do not have a digital file of your favorite photo, no problem. Send us your original photo or image and we will scan and produce your graphic for you. Your original image will be returned to you in a rolled tube along with your Wall Pilot.

   HOW TO STICK IT

1. How do I install it?

Installation is not difficult, yet care must be given to ensure your Wall Pilot is the greatest thing to adorn your wall.

1. Preparation

• Allow Wall Pilot to lay flat and adapt to room temperature for at least an hour.
• Measure location FIRST to make sure your huge Wall Pilot will fit on the wall.
• Select a smooth wall and wipe with a dry cloth. Do not wet the wall.
• Avoid product placement on newly painted walls with paint not fully cured.
• Wall Pilots are huge! We strongly recommend having two people assist with installation.

2. Application

• Do not remove the Wall Pilot from paper backing all at once.
• Begin with the top of image, peel off and apply a small portion at a time to wall.
• Continue to peel off paper backing while adhering the rest of the Wall Pilot.
• Once applied, reposition areas if necessary and smooth out any air pockets or wrinkles working from the center outward.

Tips

• Save backing in order to reuse Wall Pilot.
• For best results, remove and reapply Wall Pilot every 6 months (to prevent any potential damage to wall surface).
• Your passion is now on your wall. Enjoy your Wall Pilot!

2. What if it doesn't stick right?

Wall Pilot is made for just that your wall, If you tried to stick it something else well……… you're on your own – Wall Pilot is designed for clean, dry, flat wall surfaces. If you believe you have received a defective product contact our customer service team.

3. Does it matter what kind of wall I put it on?

Yes. Wall Pilot need clean, smooth, dry walls. Pebbly or rough textured walls are not friendly to Wall Pilot so don't go there. It's OK to put your Fathead over wallpaper but it has to be clean, dry, and smooth. Some coatings applied to wallpaper to improve the ability to clean it can decrease stickiness so check frequently to see if your Fathead shows signs of peeling off. And remember, your Fathead was made for use indoors, so don't be putting it on the side of your van.

4. Will it damage my wall?

No. Wall Pilot are perfectly safe for walls. The special low-tack adhesive does not leave any residue and will not pull off paint so long as the paint is in good condition and isn't already peeling. It's even safe to put up over wallpaper provided that the wallpaper itself adheres properly to the wall. See above for more information on the kind of walls Wall Pilot prefer.

5. Should I save the liner it comes on?

YES! These are the essential tools to transport your Wall Pilot if you move. So, please save the liner your Wall Pilot came on, and the TUBE that your Wall Pilot came in. Also, if for any reason you need to return your Wall Pilot, you MUST return it on the liner it came on.

6. How do I move my Wall Pilot to a new location?

Identify where you want to move your Wall Pilot, wipe the wall clean (no soap), wait until dry and then with the help of a friend carefully remove the Wall Pilot from one wall and carry it to the new location. If you are moving it to a new location that is not within walking distance, put your Wall Pilot back on the original liner it came with and transport to your new location.

7. What if I no longer have the liner that my Wall Pilot came on and I want to move it?

Pull out the wax paper. Peel the Wall Pilot off the wall and place it on a clean surface – STICKY SIDE UP – place enough wax paper to cover the entire area of your Wall Pilot and roll it up around any tube that is large enough. DO NOT FOLD your Wall Pilot as it will cause creases to appear.
